It was a good run, but  Ingalls unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-match winning streak on Saturday. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goessel Bluebirds.
 While Ingalls had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18,  25-21.
 Olivia Stein paced Ingalls' offense, picking up 12 kills. Stein got some help from  Jill Shmeeckle and her 13 assists. Shmeeckle was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
Ingalls' defeat dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Goessel, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record  this season.
 Coincidentally, Ingalls and Goessel will both be playing Halstead the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Dragons on Saturday, while the Bluebirds will play them later in the day, at 10:30  a.m.
