The St. Lucy's Regents will head out to square off against the Chino Hills Huskies at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Chino Hills took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Lucy's, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, St. Lucy's was able to grind out a solid win over Upland, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Regents.
St. Lucy's had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-19, 25-12, 25-20.

St. Lucy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mya Moshrefi, who had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Moshrefi has posted over her last three contests.
They weren't the only good server: St. Lucy's was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Chino Hills came up short against Etiwanda on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chino Hills was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.
St. Lucy's will have to contain Yanizza Gutierrez as she made an impact in Chino Hills' last game. She had 22 digs and two aces. Gutierrez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
St. Lucy's now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Chino Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
St. Lucy's skirted past Chino Hills 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Regents have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
