The Southwestern Rebels waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Rising Sun by a score of 41-34. That's another feather in the cap for Southwestern, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Southwestern got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashley Fulton out in front who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Rorie Scroggins was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Southwestern's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. As for Rising Sun, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Southwestern will be playing at home against Jac-Cen-Del at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rising Sun on the road again on Tuesday and play against Switzerland County at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Switzerland County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
