Fort Collins is 0-4 against Windsor since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Fort Collins Lambkins will be home for the holidays to greet the Windsor Wizards at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Fort Collins earned a 55-47 win over Pine Creek. The victory was just what Fort Collins needed coming off of a 59-27 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Avery Alcaraz, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Fort Collins' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Wagstaff, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Windsor didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Fossil Ridge on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win. The victory was just what Windsor needed coming off of a 62-42 loss in their prior match.
Fort Collins' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Windsor, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Fort Collins suffered a grim 50-24 defeat to Windsor when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fort Collins was down 33-9.
