The East Wilkes Cardinals pushed their score all the way to 58 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 76-58 fall against North Surry.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Surry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kam Mcknight, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Mcknight has scored at least 25% of North Surry's points. Anthony Williams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
East Wilkes bumped their record down to 5-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for North Surry, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
