Manila will challenge Corning on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
After soaring to 62 points the game before, Manila faltered in their matchup last Friday. They were given a punishing 7-68 loss at the hands of Piggott. Manila's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Layne Sims, who picked up 69 yards on the ground and threw 1 TD.
Meanwhile, Corning found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-34 punch to the gut against Harrisburg last Friday. Corning were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-21.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
