The Monrovia Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Speedway  68-62. Monrovia has not had much luck with Speedway recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Monrovia's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Clay Tharp, who  dropped  a double-double on 19 points and 10  rebounds, and  Hayden McCloud who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 10  rebounds. McCloud scored a full 25.8% of Monrovia's points, the third time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Parker Hale was another key contributor,  scoring 5 points.
 Even though they lost, Monrovia  were smashing the offensive glass and  finished the game with 17  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Speedway only pulled down nine.
 It was another big night for  Cam Reich, who  scored 25 points along with 9  rebounds for Speedway. The  matchup was  Reich's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Devin Robinson, who  scored 14 points along with 7  rebounds.
 Monrovia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Speedway,  the  win  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Monrovia won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Clay City at 7:30  p.m.  on December 9th. Clay City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Monrovia in Indiana (Clay City is ranked 118th, while Monrovia is ranked 276th). Speedway will be home for the holidays to greet  Greenwood at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
