The Oak Grove Grizzlies had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They breezed by Montgomery Central at home to the tune of 49-7. The result was nothing new for Oak Grove, who have now won seven contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
Karson Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 201 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries. Landon Craddock got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Oak Grove's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.33 points. As for Montgomery Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Oak Grove will head out on the road to face off against Central Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Central Davidson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Oak Grove is ranked 30th). Montgomery Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
