Last Tuesday, Edmund Burke Academy was the victim of a tough 66-42 loss at the hands of Lincoln County. While losing is never fun, Edmund Burke Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 555th, while Lincoln County is ranked 249th).
Edmund Burke Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Grant Mobley, who scored 15 points, and Harrison McClellan who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. McClellan also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Tindell, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Brentwood slipped by Bethlehem Christian Academy 53-52 on Wednesday.
Edmund Burke Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Brentwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Edmund Burke Academy was taken down by Brentwood 75-38 in their previous meeting back in February. Can Edmund Burke Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
