The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Ben Lippen Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Hilton Head Christian Academy 4, Ben Lippen 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
While Hilton Head Christian Academy's win against Cardinal Newman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 3-2 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Hayden Brooks made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Roman Colella was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Slaide Burd was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Hilton Head Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Ben Lippen entered their tilt with American Leadership Academy back in April with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Cooper Brewer looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on David McElveen, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Kubicek, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Hilton Head Christian Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ben Lippen, their record is now 11-2.
Hilton Head Christian Academy suffered a grim 14-8 defeat to Ben Lippen in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
