Wells gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Morse Shipbuilders, sneaking past 8-7. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Shipbuilders, too.
Delani Brown made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Brown was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
