Xaverian Brothers has won three straight games at home, while Taunton has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Hawks will welcome the Tigers at 11:00 a.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Xaverian Brothers 3.5, Taunton 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Xaverian Brothers came out on top against Hopkinton on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Hawks walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Hillers.

The team relied heavily on Jack O'Neil, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlie Gallagher, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Taunton). They put the hurt on Sharon with a sharp 13-1 win on Wednesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Johnny Escobalez was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Ryan Crowley looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Taunton got a massive performance out of Cam Dorr, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Corbin Melo was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Taunton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matchups.
Xaverian Brothers' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Taunton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Xaverian Brothers has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Taunton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Xaverian Brothers might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Taunton when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Hawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
