Clinton will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Burlington at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Clinton made easy work of Davenport West last week and carried off a 34-9 victory.
Meanwhile, everything went Burlington's way against Keokuk as they made off with a 31-6 win. Burlington was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-1. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
