Jacob Barber Has Career-Day on Thursday
Starting off the list is Southwest's Jacob Barber, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Thursday Barber rushed for 230 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
This season, Barber has averaged 21.8 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 13.2 receiving yards per game.

A Season-Best Performance from Jordan Scoville Leads Sumner-Eddyville-Miller over Wauneta-Palisade
Sumner-Eddyville-Miller was led to victory by Jordan Scoville, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Scoville rushed for 197 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 66 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.all of that, receiving production came thanks to one massive catch
Scoville is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Paxton on Friday. Scoville rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

While Paxton might've come up empty on Friday, Joe Eakins wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the loss, Eakins was still balling out as he picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown.
The defeat snapped Paxton's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record. Eakins and Paxton will square off against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Ashtin Johns Goes Supernova in Wallace Win
Ashtin Johns's big game helped extend Wallace's winning streak to four on Friday. Johns did his part (and then some), rushing for 151 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for seven yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 151 rushing yards dating back to last season.
This year, Johns has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 140 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he had one rushing touchdown.

Another Southwest player making an appearance on this list is Houston Billeter. He threw for 167 yards and four touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
For the year, Billeter has thrown 23 touchdowns (and and only 4 pick) while averaging 271.2 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he was only averaging 78.2 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 122.12 passer rating.
