The Zane Trace Pioneers will face off against the Southeastern Panthers at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Zane Trace took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Adena, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pioneers skirted past the Warriors 2-1.

Brynn Wipert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Haylynn Boggess-Pierce was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Maddison Will was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Zane Trace hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Adena struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southeastern). They put the hurt on Oak Hill with a sharp 24-3 win on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the game before.
Kylie Williams made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Southeastern got a massive performance out of Ally Fisher, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ava Cyrus, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Zane Trace's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Southeastern, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Zane Trace skirted past Southeastern 6-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Pioneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
