Jordan Stout made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Gabriella Barrera was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shyla Eppert, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Eau Gallie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Citrus only posted an OBP of .381.
Meanwhile, Tavares got the win against Vanguard on Wednesday by a conclusive 9-2.
Aliyah Cantu-Lopez and Nina Earl did most of the damage at the plate: Cantu-Lopez went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Earl went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Eau Gallie has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Tavares, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Tavares' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eau Gallie hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346.
