The El Primero Lobos lost against the North Valley Baptist Bulldogs on January 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. El Primero lost to North Valley Baptist on the road by a decisive 60-46 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for El Primero in their matchups with North Valley Baptist: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, El Primero still got an impressive performance from JOSH CHAVEZ, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. CHAVEZ hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. RICARDO GARCIA was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
North Valley Baptist was led to victory by Dominic Lara and Ethan Lopez. Lara dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Lopez scored 24 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Hudson Fanara, who scored four points along with five rebounds and three steals.
El Primero's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for North Valley Baptist, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
El Primero will be playing at home against More at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Valley Baptist, they will head out on the road to square off against DCP Alum Rock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
