 Woodland's loss  came despite strong showings from  Kate Fricke and  Chloe Nelson.  Fricke  had 15  digs, while  Nelson  had five  digs and three  aces. Nelson is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had five or more in the last six games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for East Nicolaus, the  victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
 Woodland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-1  win vs. Wheatland on the 7th. East Nicolaus has also already played their next game,  a  2-0  victory against Red Bluff on the 7th.
