Bloomfield is 0-5 against East Hartford since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bloomfield Warhawks will look to defend their home court against the East Hartford Hornets at 1:00 p.m. Bloomfield is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Bloomfield had to settle for a 49-46 loss against Hartford Public.
Meanwhile, East Hartford was able to grind out a solid victory over Enfield on Thursday, taking the game 58-46.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Hartford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nia Edens, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Chanel Ward was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five steals.
Bloomfield's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.1 points per game. As for East Hartford, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Bloomfield couldn't quite finish off East Hartford when the teams last played back in January of 2019 and fell 55-53. Can Bloomfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
