Having just played yesterday, the Rampart Rams will get right back to it and host the Canon City Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Rampart is ranked 97th, while Canon City is ranked 90th).
On Tuesday, Rampart was able to grind out a solid win over Palmer Ridge, taking the game 57-50.
Rampart's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haydn Benoit, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. The matchup was Benoit's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Kirch, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Canon City took a serious blow against Pueblo Central on Saturday, falling 78-41. Canon City has not had much luck with Pueblo Central recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
The victory got Rampart back to even at 2-2. As for Canon City, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Rampart couldn't quite finish off Canon City in their previous matchup back in January and fell 49-46. Can Rampart avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
