Brother Rice extended the longest winning streak in Catholic Central this week by beating Port Huron, 47-26. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Warriors.
St. Mary Prep took down South Lyon East 59-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Brother Rice's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cheyne Lacanaria threw for 50 yards and Corey Lacanaria had 17 yards receiving. On the ground Brian Walker chipped in 205 yards. Joshua Flye helped Brother Rice's passing attack out by catching one ball for 16 yards.
Brother Rice's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lacanaria has thrown for 1163 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Lacanaria has 40 catches for 605 yards. Walker leads the league in rushing with 1128 yards.
Catholic Central and Hartland played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Catholic Central eventually emerging with a 21-15 victory.
