Hornell is 0-10 against Haverling since April of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Red Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Hornell will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Whitman on Tuesday. The Red Raiders blew past the Wildcats 18-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Red Raiders' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Alexis Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
