 The team  relied heavily on  Emma Andrews, who  went 4-for-5 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of  Valery Brumfield, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, sadly, Nelson County is still looking for their first win of the season after 12  games. They fell  11-8 to Gretna on Wednesday.
 Altavista is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record  this season. As for Nelson County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10-2.
