Having just played yesterday, the Brandon Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Alonso Ravens at 8:00 p.m. on November 29th. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Brandon couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Bloomingdale on Tuesday, falling 55-15. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brandon in their matchups with Bloomingdale: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Brandon saw an underclassman step up: Sofia Caserta scored 13 points.
Alonso kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a rough 88-12 loss at the hands of Sickles. Alonso was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-4.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Georgia Price and
Aliya Hannah, who each put up four points.
Brandon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Alonso, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-1.
Brandon was taken down by Alonso 62-10 when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Can Brandon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
