The Fulton Red Raiders will square off against the Port Byron Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Fulton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Fulton's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Auburn by a score of 5-0. While the Red Raiders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

04/15/25 vs Jamesville-DeWitt | 5 |

Auburn's batters probably weren't too happy with Emma Spaulding, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (she gave up a single walk). Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Spaulding.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rose Douglas, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Riley Trude was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Port Byron got the win against Pulaski on Tuesday by a conclusive 20-6. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by 11 runs or more this season.
Jenna Jump made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Jump was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Raelee McDowell was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Cameryn Brundage, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles.
Port Byron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .654. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Port Byron's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Fulton, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Fulton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Port Byron struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
