After soaring to a 27-point victory in their last game, College Prep of America came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of Shepard by a score of 62-60. College Prep of America has struggled against Shepard recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ibrahim Elagha, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Hamzah Shouman, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Montini Catholic's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-18. As for College Prep of America, their loss dropped their record down to 12-16.
