Having just played yesterday, the Tongue River Eagles will get right back to it and host the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Tongue River is coming into the game hot, having won their last 14 games.
Tongue River can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. Everything went their way against Big Horn as Tongue River made off with a 57-37 win.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain earned a 54-45 victory over the Rams on Saturday.
Rocky Mountain found their leader in underclassman Lauren Bassett, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Bassett is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. MacKelle Moss was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Tongue River's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Rocky Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Tongue River didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Grizzlies when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 40-36 victory. Will Tongue River repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
