The Pendleton Bulldogs's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 48-24 margin over Crescent. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Pendleton has managed all season.
Pendleton found their leader in underclassman Michael Barnett, who scored 14 points along with five assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnett has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Gray, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Crescent struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Pendleton pushed their record up to 10-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Crescent, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton will take on Daniel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Daniel is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64.9 points per game. As for Crescent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West-Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West-Oak has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
