Bremen had lost four straight at home, but on Saturday they dropped down to 6-17 to make it five. They came up short against the Westview Warriors, falling 17-7. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 8-3 to the Warriors when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Lili Cullen made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Shumaker, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
As for Westview, their record is now 9-5. Considering they have won six contests by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
On Westview's side, Brynn Bontrager made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Bontrager was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Myra Miller was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Janissa Lehman was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Bremen has already played their next matchup (against Wheeler), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Westview, they have also already played their next game, a 9-6 win against Concord on the 16th.
