Guntersville had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. Everything went their way against the West Point Warriors as they made off with a 16-1 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Guntersville pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for West Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Guntersville Wildcats take on Grissom Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Point, they will venture away from home to square off against Decatur at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
