The East Feliciana Tigers had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to GEO Next Generation.
Quinniece Darby continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for GEO Next Generation, scoring 17 points. The contest was Darby's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brianna Hawthorne, who scored 6 points.
East Feliciana's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for GEO Next Generation, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Feliciana won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Michael at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. As for GEO Next Generation, they will head out on the road to face off against Catholic of Pointe Coupee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
