Despite the defeat, Windermere Prep saw an underclassman step up: Brandon Bass jr. scored 28 points. Bass jr. is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Shoptaw, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
It was another big night for Marcus Allen, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds for Norland. Allen has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Triston Wilson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Windermere Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Norland, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windermere Prep will take on Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy is ranked 41st, while Windermere Prep is ranked 22nd). As for Norland, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. Northwestern has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 275 points over their last four games.
