4A Special District 1 recap October 8, 2013
Ridgeview extended the longest winning streak in 4A Special District 1 this week by beating The Dalles-Wahtonka/South Wasco County, 28-14. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Crook County made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,835 from 10,503. The improvement was largely due to a 35-7 victory over Redmond last week.
Ridgeview's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Johnson threw for 18 and 1 touchdown and Jack Bowman had 18 yards receiving. On the ground Boomer Fleming chipped in 221 yards.
Fleming was a beast in the backfield as andy codding's team defeated The Dalles-Wahtonka/South Wasco County.
Fleming provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Ravens beat The Dalles-Wahtonka/South Wasco County. Fleming's favorite target this week was Bowman, who caught 2 passes for 18 yards.
Johnson put up the best numbers in passing as Ridgeview bested The Dalles-Wahtonka/South Wasco County.
Ridgeview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Ravens feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 302 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Bowman has 14 catches for 266 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Ridgeview takes on second place Crook County.
Fleming of the the Ravens is only 91 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 125 carries Fleming has put up 909 yards this year.
Crook County led the league in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on the Panthers.
