The Perry Central Commodores will be playing at home against the Evansville Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perry Central is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
Last Thursday, Perry Central came up short against Heritage Hills and fell 29-22. While losing is never fun, Perry Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Heritage Hills is ranked 52nd).
Meanwhile, Evansville Christian also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Jasper by a score of 42-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Evansville Christian has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Sammi Holzmeyer, who scored four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Hall, who scored three points along with two steals and two blocks.
Perry Central has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Evansville Christian, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.
