Center Place's's game on Monday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell to Clinton Christian Academy 44-39. That's two games in a row now that Center Place has lost by exactly five points.
When it comes to explaining why Center Place lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rylie Kroesen. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with 6 steals. Kroesen scored a full 53.8% of Center Place's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Patience Drope, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
It was another big night for Clara Hyke, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds for Clinton Christian Academy. The contest was Hyke's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Foster, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Center Place and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Clinton Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Center Place will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christian Learning Center at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Clinton Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Training Center Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 5th.
