The Community Christian Knights managed to keep up with the Notre Dame Academy Irish Wolfhounds until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Community Christian suffered a tough 36-12 defeat at the hands of Notre Dame Academy. Community Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Notre Dame Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Despite the loss, Community Christian saw an underclassman step up: Isaiah Lee rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown. Lee was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards. Nehemiah Ash got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Community Christian and nudges their season record down to 2-7. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-8 Hearts Academy and 4-5 Notre Dame Academy. As for Notre Dame Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Community Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Notre Dame Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
