The biggest upset of the week belonged to Olympia, who took down 447th ranked Eureka/Roanoke-Benson, 12-6.
University extended the longest winning streak in Corn Belt this week by beating Rantoul, 56-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Arion Worthman and Bryan Sengsay gave University a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Worthman threw for 160 yards and four touchdowns, while Sengsay ran for 170 yards. Malik Wildermuth also contributed to the rushing game with 25 yards on the ground.
Cory Hartema was the best wideout in the league this week as Central Catholic beat Mahomet-Seymour. Hartema tallied six receptions for 143 yards. Kellen Kiley helped Central Catholic's passing attack out by catching two balls for 35 yards.
Addison Bounds provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Prairie Central defeated Pontiac. He completed eight passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 78 yards. Bounds' favorite target this week was Kyle Moody, who caught three passes for 101 yards.
The Hawks' Bounds and Ian Briscoe have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bounds has thrown for 1431 yards this season, while Briscoe, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 30 catches for 452 yards. Jordan Rock from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 657 yards.
A big matchup in Corn Belt this week will be when Mahomet-Seymour takes on Dusty Burk's team. As it stands, Keith Pogue's team is in third, while the Pioneers are in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Bulldogs take on University. Mahomet-Seymour has allowed 118 points this season, while the Pioneers have given up 103. The Bulldogs allowed 21 points last week as they fell to the Saints.
The Spartans moved up to 481 from 518 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 12-6 win over the Hornets helped Olympia improve its standing.
