AAA Region I recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in AAA Region I this week, Daniel beat Pickens 40-3. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Lions.
Daniel took down the Blue Flame 40-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Belton-Honea Path's dynamic duo of Dylan Spence and Maleke Callahan proved to be unstoppable against Blue Ridge, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Spence threw for 133 yards and 1 touchdown and Callahan had 60 yards receiving. Janike Mangle helped Belton-Honea Path's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 59 yards.
Wren's Kelly Bryant and Harrison Hix have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Bryant has thrown for 2,366 yards this season, while Hix has 36 catches for 742 yards. The Bears' Anthony White leads the league in rushing yards with 1,232.
Marquis Arnold has rushed for 952 yards on 159 carries so far this year.
The Hurricanes made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,532 from 2,979.
