Baseball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Has No Trouble Against Williams Bay

While Palmyra-Eagle put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Williams Bay. The Panthers blew past the Bulldogs 15-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Dillen Patrick was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Patrick was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

In other batting news, D Walsh and Devin Patrick did most of the damage at the plate: Walsh got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Devin went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double marked the first that Patrick has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Dalton Anton, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

Palmyra-Eagle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Williams Bay only posted an OBP of .100.

Palmyra-Eagle's record is now 10-4. As for Williams Bay, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Palmyra-Eagle will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
