Thompson and Four Winds/Minnewaukan are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Thompson Tommies will head out on the road to square off against the Four Winds/Minnewaukan Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Thompson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Monday.
Last Monday, Thompson didn't have too much trouble with Langdon/Edmore/Munich on the road as they won 64-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for Thompson.
Thompson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Krogstad, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Krogstad has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Karter Peterson, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Four Winds/Minnewaukan unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Kindred by a score of 48-45. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Four Winds/Minnewaukan has scored all season.
Thompson's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Four Winds/Minnewaukan, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Thompson came up short against Four Winds/Minnewaukan in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 61-56. Can Thompson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
