The Canyon View Falcons will face off against the Parowan Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Canyon View took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Juab, sneaking past 13-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since March 7th.

Maisy Brady made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and six unearned) runs off 11 hits. Brady was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sadie Sams was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Haiden McDonald was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Canyon View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Parowan made easy work of Delta on Tuesday and carried off an 11-4 win. The game marked the Rams' most dominant victory of the season.
Jadyn Yardley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.
On the hitting side, Ryann Robinson and Erika Kelly did most of the damage at the plate: Robinson went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI, while Kelly went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Avia Anderson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Canyon View pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Parowan, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.
Parowan's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Canyon View has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Parowan, though, as they've been averaging 12.1 hits. Given Canyon View's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
Canyon View got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2019 against Parowan by a conclusive 19-1 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
