The Fallston Cougars lost against the Joppatowne Mariners back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Fallston received a tough blow as they fell 70-52 to the Mariners. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fallston has scored all season.
Joppatowne found their leader in underclassman Kishann Smith, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Smith is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Damian Brooks, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Fallston has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Joppatowne, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Fallston will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. North Harford is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Joppatowne, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bel Air will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
