Willis waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the New Caney Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-3 last Friday.

Willis' win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-9-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for New Caney, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Willis will take on rival Conroe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, New Caney is set to square off against their familiar foe Caney Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
