The Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves extended their postseason success on Tuesday against the St. John Paul II Academy Eagles. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles and snuck past 3-2. The win was just what Oxbridge Academy needed coming off of a 5-2 defeat in their prior matchup.
They hit St. John Paul II Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Chris Cano,
Villads Gudbrand, and
Julien Dorsey.
Oxbridge Academy pushed their record up to 10-6-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matchups. As for St. John Paul II Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-2.
Oxbridge Academy will head out on the road to square off against Benjamin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Benjamin knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Oxbridge Academy likes a good challenge. St. John Paul II Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
