The Lewis Cass Kings will head out on the road to face off against the Southwood Knights at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Lewis Cass is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Lewis Cass' 20-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Logansport on Saturday. Lewis Cass has not had much luck with Logansport recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from L.j. Hillis, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Owen Lowe, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Southwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 67-50 fall against Oak Hill. Southwood found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up eight fewer assists than your opponent.
Despite the defeat, Southwood got a solid performance out of Will Winer, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Bryce Wilcox was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Lewis Cass' record now sits at 3-8. Southwood's record is now 3-8.
