Bluejacket and Copan are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Bluejacket Chieftains will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Copan Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Bluejacket is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Bluejacket was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 35-31 to Wesleyan Christian.
Meanwhile, Copan was able to grind out a solid win over Riverfield Country Day on Saturday, taking the game 41-31. The victory was just what Copan needed coming off of a 40-13 defeat in their prior game.
Bluejacket's defeat was their 13th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.2 points per game. As for Copan, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
