The Community School of Davidson Spartans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Corvian Community for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-13 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Community School of Davidson, who have now won five contests by 23 points or more so far this season.
Community School of Davidson had a senior duo take command as Tyler Baughan scored 20 points along with six steals and five rebounds and Molly Feighery dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Baughan has scored at least 25% of Community School of Davidson's points. Scarlett Soares was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Community School of Davidson's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Corvian Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Community School of Davidson will be home for the holidays to greet Liberty Preparatory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Liberty Preparatory Christian: 26.7, Community School of Davidson: 24.4) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Corvian Community, they will head out on the road to face off against Greater Cabarrus S at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
