Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
On Friday, Ferris might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Alvarado an easy 49-29 win. Ferris has struggled against Alvarado recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Life Waxahachie's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Alvarado 72-41.
Ferris' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-9. As for Life Waxahachie, they bumped their record down to 5-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
