Haynes Academy barely beat A.J. Ellender the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Haynes Academy blew past the A.J. Ellender Patriots 10-3 on Thursday. While Haynes Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Haynes Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. A.J. Ellender is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Coming up, Haynes Academy will venture away from home to take on Willow at 7:30 a.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive. As for A.J. Ellender, they will take on Maurepas in a tournament on Saturday.
