The Marist RedHawks entered their tilt with the DePaul College Prep Rams with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Marist blew past DePaul College Prep, posting a 42-13 victory at home. Considering Marist has won three games by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Marist to victory were Owen Winters and John McAuliffe. Winters rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while McAuliffe rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Winters was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards. Kamil Kokot made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Marist's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for DePaul College Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Marist will be playing at home against Niles Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Niles Notre Dame has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since September 1. DePaul College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
